Optical Calcite - OC11 Moldavite amplificationOptical Calcite (Iceland Spar) Optical Calcite is one of the most fascinating crystals found in nature and is a perfect example of double refraction, a rare optical phenomenon where a single ray of light splits into two. When light passes through this crystal, half of the light travels straight through while the other half is bent. This bending is similar to how light behaves when passing through water like when a straight stick appears to bend where
