The antlers start out as flat pieces of rusty metal. The artist hand hammers them into shape and grinds them smooth. He then hand draws the head pattern on the metal with soapstone and cuts it with a hand held plasma cutter. Next he welds the shapes together to form the head. Finally he mounts the head on a
